REF: REMOTE 25 May 1993
Remote Access Users
Remote users who access the network via a communications package may load
and use Notework as usual. However, there may be problems using the
Notework Hot-key to pop up the Notework menu. This may be resolved by
setting a different Hot-key. See the help topic "Changing the Hot-Key".
Another option is to use the NWHOTKEY command line utility. This pops up
the Notework main menu. It may be used at a DOS prompt or incorporated
into a batch file or menu system.
Remote users may also wish to disable the Notework banner from loading.
This is done by setting a special parameter called QL. For details, see
the help topic "Disabling the Loading Banner (Logo)". There may be speed
gains from disabling animation, as described in the topic "Disabling
Animation".
Users pay a price in both speed and disk space if they don't practice good
mail housekeeping. Users should review open mail and notes in the Resume
Box on a weekly basis if they tend to let mail accumulate.
Users of PCanywhere should read the help topic "PC Anywhere III and IV"
for helpful information.
